NOA TALAVAN

  

Dr. Noa Talaván holds a senior lecturer position in the Foreign Languages Department of the Universidad Nacional de Education a Distancia (UNED), Spain, where she teaches mainly in the areas of Translation, English for Specific Purposes and CALL (Computer-Assisted Language Learning). She is a member of the ATLAS research group and her main fields of research are audiovisual translation, mobile learning and foreign language education. She is currently taking part in two research projects: a national project called SO-CALL-ME on Mobile Learning Applications in Language Learning (as part of the ATLAS group) and a European project—Lifelong Learning Program—called Clipflair, Foreign Language Learning through Interactive Revoicing and Captioning of Clips (as an associate partner). She is also an official translator (English-Spanish) and holds a position as secretary of a Masters course on ICTs and Language Learning and Processing.
